Past and Present of Nepal
Geologists tell us that about 700 million years ago of the 3rd era, there was once a large mediterranean in where Nepal is now located, called "Tehys Sea", with the area much lager than Nepal. As a series of strong earthquake happened later, the Indian sub-continent known as Gongdwana collided with Chinese mainland, and due to the Indian sub-continent is lower than Chinese land which made a rising mountain region in southwest of China, and now is known as Himalayan Region.
In the southern slope of Himalayas, some primitive tribal population began to presented itself. Primitive hill-dwellers and valley-dwellers were mentioned in Nepal's ancient literature. Where did they come from? There's no answer in these literatures. In addition to these two kinds of people, there is a influx of different people from all around settling here, creating the colorful scenes of historical epic, which made Nepal's history begin to be originate and flow longer and longer.

Nepal Mountain
Known as 'A great littel country', Nepal is famous for its mountain resource. A great number of high mountains are districted here, among which the Himalayas are the most representative. It is a fascinating and amzing country, whose landforms transitted in the long and narrow terrain from the extreme high mountains to the low elevation plain. There are 8 out of 14 world's highest mountains whose elevation are beyond 8,000m located completely in Nepal or sharing with China, which are Nepal's wealth beyond compare.

Nepal River
Most originated from southern Himalayas - Tibet, almost all rivers are rushing down from north to south and finally reaching the Ganges River in India. There are three 3 major river systems in Nepal; Sapta Kosi System in eastern Nepal, Sapta Gandaki System in central Nepal, Sapta Karnali System in western Nepal, each system has 7 rivers. Although there is little shipping value of these rivers, but the rapids and huge fall of the rivers make it bear abundant water resources and great tourist value.
