Introduction of the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA)
Located in the confluence of 3 ancient cities, Bhkatapur, Patan and Kathmandu, Tribhuvan International Airport is Nepal’s unique International airport often shortened as TIA. There are plenty of facilities located internally which can provide convenient services for you, no matter issuing the visa on arrival, doing some money-exchange, making a hotel reservation, or making an international call to you families.
It is not too far way from the airport to downtown Kathmandu, usually takes you around 15 minutes to the Thamel Street by taxi (If there’s no traffic jam, or it will be around 20 to 25 minutes), which is the tourist aggregation place.
Since you are supposed to have some adventure tours in Nepal, we guess you may take lots of luggage with, so you need to pay attention to the Airport Charges. Below are International landing and domestic landing charges table, hope it is clear for you: Domestic Landing:

As the unique International Airport of Nepal, TIA has two terminals, one International and one Domestic. For International terminal, how to fly to Nepal or how to go to Nepal may be the most concerned. There are hardly any direct flights from European countries since so many European Airlines have cancelled that, but there are still many flights from its neighborhood, such as India, China, Bhutan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, etc. Below is the regular International flight schedule in TIA:
